Welcome to the beautiful “Eilean a Cheo”, the ‘Isle of Mist’, as Skye is poetically known in the Gaelic language.
Ken Gunn and Anne Gracie have just taken over the Duisdale House Hotel on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Duisdale is set in lovely gardens which surround the hotel and extend to about 30 acres of wooded hillside. There are breathtaking views across the sea to the hills of Knoydart.
The Duisdale was built as a great hunting Lodge for the Chief of the Clan MacDonald in the 1860's.
There is a unique opportunity to sail on the owners' private yacht run by Capt. Ken Gunn and Anne. Ken is a master mariner and an RYA Yachmaster. Anne is an RYA Day Skipper. They will look after you for the day on 'Solus na Mara' a 42' Jeanneau Sun Odyssey DS. This new yacht sails daily except Sunday, from Armadale. A light homemade lunch, using freshly made bread, highland smoked meats, local cheese and locally grown salad leaves is served on board. This is a full day excursion exclusive to guests.
