Crossal is a Gaelic word meaning “The pass in the rocks”. Crossal House was once the only house in the glen. It is about 100 years old and retains much of its original charm.
We are centrally located on the island with extensive views of the Cuillin Mountains.
We are just 2 miles from Sligachan, Skye’s premier walking and climbing centre, and the Sligachan Hotel which now produces fine ales from is own “Cuillin Brewery”.
Talisker Distillery, Dunvegan Castle and the island's capital, Portree are all within 15 minutes drive.
